Boldenone Undecylenate - EQUIPOISE
Equipoise (boldenone undecylenate) is a synthetic anabolic steroid known by various names, including Boldenone, Ganabol, and Ultragan. Its structure closely resembles that of testosterone. This drug is strictly for veterinary use and has not been sanctioned for human consumption in North America, yet it has gained notoriety for its misuse among bodybuilders.
Farmacologie
Similar to other synthetic steroids, Boldenon is a powerful anabolic agent at low doses, while exhibiting both anabolic and androgenic properties at higher doses. When taken with a calorie-rich diet, it effectively promotes muscle gains. However, it may suppress natural testosterone production, leading to decreased libido and spermatogenesis impairment.
At elevated doses, Boldenon can convert to estrogen, contributing to side effects like gynecomastia and water retention. An additional benefit of Equipoise is its ability to stimulate erythropoiesis, enhancing red blood cell production and oxygen delivery, thanks to the stimulation of erythropoietin. However, long retention in the body, lasting up to 12-15 months, poses risks related to detection.
Bodybuilders
The transition of Boldenon from equine to human usage is unclear, yet its strong anabolic effects and low androgenicity make it appealing for increasing muscle mass. It can cause notable water and sodium retention at higher doses. Like many anabolic steroids, it enhances nitrogen retention and protein synthesis while stimulating kidney function, leading to the secretion of EPO and promoting red blood cell synthesis in the bone marrow.
